Abstract
Islamic banks unlike conventional banks, whose main objective is to maximize profits through the facilities provided, are required to comply with some principles such as prohibition of Riba (interest), prohibition of Gharar, prohibition of earning income through investment in illegal activities, the principle of profit and loss sharing and the principle of Asset Backing which lead to the distinction of this type of banking from conventional ones. On the other hand, all financial contracts in Islam are based on the principle of justice and social justice is one of the most important goals of the Islamic banking system. Equitable distribution of wealth, providing the life necessities for the needy; providing equal access to financial resources and supporting the weak against economic problems are among the highest goals of social justice which Islamic banking can help to achieve. In this research, in order to analyze the effect of these principles in the establishment of social justice, we intend to study the differences between Islamic and conventional banking and have a brief overview of the fundamental principles of Islamic banking and address the question of whether Islamic banking mechanisms have the necessary efficiency to achieve social justice through a descriptive-analytical method by library information collection.
